Relay Engineering Services is a specialist company that develops and markets the very latest in Power Systems Protection test equipment.

Our products are used to test all types of protection relays, transducers, energy meters and battery installations by customers in the electricity generation, distribution, railway and industrial sectors.

Developed in collaboration with a major European utility, the PCA2 is RES’s latest and most technologically advanced product. The Protection Condition Analyser quickly provides information on the performance of the main elements of a protection system (relay, breaker, battery, wiring etc.). It can do this whilst the system is still online, capturing the crucial ‘first trip’ of both relay and breaker. A novel online injection method coupled with a minimum of connections, speed and convenient results archiving make this an excellent aid to implementing a cost-effective condition-based-maintenance program for substation protection.
